Sickies Unite!

I have had quite the past 2 weeks, man. And it hasn’t been all good.

I started Pizza Hut.. that went very well. I got back into the swing of things really quickly.. No problem. So yay for that!

Unfortunately, I went home from work my first night there and got really sick. I finally got this flu everyone keeps talking about. I was in bed for 3 days straight (other than the car issue, but I’ll get back to that).

I missed 2 days of PKC work.. which was the rest of my sick time (well.. I have 30 minutes of sick time left) until June. I missed my second night of Pizza Hut work… Then William wouldn’t let me come in my third night of Pizza Hut work to make sure I got completely over the flu. It was not pleasant.

As for my car… my precious car… When I was sick, I had to take my car into the shop. I forced myself out of bed at 7:30 in the morning.. pulled on some clothes..then made my way to my car like a freakin’ zombie. I then proceeded to get lost trying to find the body shop. It took me an hour to find it. I walked in… gave them my keys.. and waited for Enterprise to pick me up. I didn’t even talk to the woman so I have NO idea how long it’s going to be for me to get my car back (it’s been almost 2 weeks, already!)..which sucks.

THEN… to make things worse… Enterprise decided to be “nice” and upgrade me from a simple small car to a damn PT Cruiser! I HATE PT Cruisers!! AND I’m STILL driving the damn thing! Ugh! I was too sick and out of it to really say anything. At the time, I was like “uh huh..ok… “ just wanting to go back to bed. Totally sucks, too.

So I also missed one of my accounting classes… Then had spring break.. and I tried getting the 2 assignments that were due last night done..without knowing what I was doing. I did not succeed as I became too tired at 10:30 to try the last hour and a half I had to do it. I turned them in incomplete just to get some points. I was so stressed about it that I started crying. Rob had to sit there and put things in perspective. Yeah.. two 10-point homework assignments aren’t a big deal. I’m ok. Damn stress and lack of sleep can really make a person crazy..like really.

Some good things happened too, though. My mom generously got me tickets to Bodies Revealed for this Saturday! I’m super excited to see the exhibit! The first time I heard about it YEARS ago, I SO wanted to see it. It was in Chicago at the time, but we never got around to going. I can’t wait!

She ALSO purchased tickets to see Wicked: A New Musical. I just finished reading the book.. it’s about the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (from Wizard of Oz) and I heard the show was fantastic so I can’t wait for that!! That’s coming up in May! Yay!

In other news… I need to do my taxes.. but my PKC W-2 forms are in my car!! And I don’t know when I’m getting my car back! Ugh.. !
